SMS Opt-In

By opting in to receive SMS text messages from Beaumont Free Methodist Church ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to the following terms:

• Consent. By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Beaumont Free Methodist Church for ministry‑related purposes.  Examples include daily encouraging Bible verses, church announcements, reminders about services or events, and prayer requests.
   
• Message Frequency. Messages may be sent daily (one message each day) and occasionally for special announcements, with a maximum of seven messages per week.  We reserve the right to adjust the number of messages sent at any time.
   
• Message and Data Rates. Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier’s plan.
   
• Privacy Policy Link. Your information is handled in accordance with our Messaging Privacy Policy.
   
• Cancellation / Opt‑Out. You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive. After you opt out, you will receive one additional confirmation message. Reply HELP for assistance.
   
• Customer Support. For support or questions, text HELP to our messaging number or email us at beaumontfmc@gmail.com.
   
• Liability. We are not responsible for any charges, errors, delays, or undelivered messages caused by your carrier or third‑party service providers.

When you opt in to receive SMS messages, we collect:

• Mobile phone number.
   
• Name (optional).
   
• Consent to receive SMS messages.
   
• Basic contact information, such as an email address, if provided.
   

We collect information directly from you when you complete an online form or communicate with us. 

We use your information to:

• Send the SMS messages you have opted in to receive.
   
• Provide ministry‑related content—such as encouraging scripture, church updates, service reminders, or prayer requests—based on your preferences.
   
• Operate and improve our ministry communications.
   

We do not share your phone number, SMS consent, or personal information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We also do not sell or distribute your mobile opt‑in data.

We do not transfer your personal information to any external organizations under any circumstances, even with your consent. 

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information against unauthorized use or disclosure. Access to your data is limited to authorized church leaders or staff, and we store your information securely.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material changes that significantly affect your privacy, we will post an updated policy with a new effective date and, where required, provide additional notice.
